House of Lord’s CPO dinner

We were delighted to co-host a thought-provoking discussion at the House of Lords with Procurement Leaders and Social Enterprise UK last week, exploring how global businesses can drive more positive social impact through their supply chains.

We heard great discussion from 20 CPOs, expertly chaired by Lord Victor Adebowale CBE, with contributions from Procurement Leaders CEO Nandini Basuthakur and our MD Charlie Wigglesworth. Key takeaways included:

- There is an appetite from the procurement community to do more, and working with social enterprises is a great way to engage

- All organisations are learning; there is an openness to collaborate on this agenda, not compete

- We need to look at how we move from compliance and reacting to regulation and building proactive, positive strategies for the future

Massive thanks to David Rae, Brooke England Lee, Raj Kular and the Procurement Leaders team for their help in putting the event together, and all the CPOs for their contributions.

We look forward to continuing the discussion.
